Fire pit and chairs

Malcolm put all of this together this afternoon and it was quite a project, but very nice. The top has some colored stone and the fire pit is in the middle.

Well, we got our fire pit with some luxury chairs and Malcolm spent the better part of the afternoon putting everything together. We love the way it looks and feels. We did find out you cannot roast meat over the flame as it causes problems with the gas. Anyway, we have a nice spot to visit with friends and family around the fire pit and it may even keep the bugs away.

AppleTree & Firepit

Today, Malcolm took out some Redwood trees to make room for a firepit in our back yard in the center of his nice paver patio. We think it will be fun for visiting, & marshmallow roast. Anyway, we will be able to make better use of our space in the back yard. He worked hard and got it all done today! What a man!

This is our new apple tree which has Fuji, Golden Delicious, and Granny Smith apples on it. Malcolm got some retaining wall bricks and filled them with good soil and planted our new tree. This has been kind of a swamp area, so this will be a giant improvement in the front side yard.

The boys' working in Grandpa's workshop

Tyler, Calvin & Adon came over to Grandpa's workshop this morning to cut, sand and design their pinewood derby's for scouts. They had fun working with all the right tools and counter to hold the cars in place while they were cutting, sanding and drilling.

Micki & Patsy

Our long-time friend Micki Rosenberger is visiting from Texas. I attended high school and college with her in Alaska and we have not seen each other in 45 years. What a grand reunion!
