Flamingos flew back

If you were following our flamingo story, you will note that we found them on our lawn one day - all the efforts of Bob and Amelia Fawson through their son, David, via our son in-law, Tyler. There were several of us in Fairfield who had a laugh as we put them in friends yards so we were very surprised to see them land in Live Oak. Malcolm named them Fred, Francine, Frederica, & Franco. The Fawson's took them home to share with another friend!

Amelia & Bob

We had a great visit today with Amelia and Bob Fawson from Vacaville. We used to live near each other in Fairfield and have so enjoyed their friendship. We had lunch at Betty's (Mexican food) and took a drive in the country where they used to have a summer home and just visited and caught up. It was just so much fun to share the day with them.

My Leg

Yesterday, Malcolm and I went to Martinez for a check - up on my broken leg. The Dr. said it is healing fine and should be back to normal in another 3 months ..I didn't know it took so long for a break to heal. Anyway, I am thankful everything is going as it should. We had lunch on our way home, then came home and just relaxed the rest of the evening.

Valerie

Our very talented daughter, Valerie won the Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year award last evening in Redding...a surprise to her, but well deserved. Valerie has worked hard for her community with large events and does a remarkable job- congrats to our daughter - we feel blessed that she is our daughter!

Malcolm

I am just so thankful for my husband, Malcolm and the kindess and love he showers on me. It has been a hectic few months with a broken leg, holidays and then a cough that lingers. At any rate, he has really helped with housework and encouraging me to get plenty of rest and been so sweet. For valentine Day, Malcolm gave me a beautiful pearl necklace which I love! I am blessed and certainly don't take for granted a great husband! Much Love and gratitude to Angel Face!

Andrew & Todd's trip to Hawaii

Todd sent us some great pictures and video of a trip He and Andrew made to Hawaii to see the Pro Bowl and other sights. There were some wonderful pictures - here are a couple

New sewing room

I have new counters and basket cubes in my Sewing room. The counter wraps around two walls and is very nice. A man down the street is a carpenter and made it for me. It is still a work in progress, but you can get an idea of how it looks. I have book cases in the corner for kids videos and books too. I am so grateful.

This is the left side for computer & supplies

This is the right side for sewing and card making

This is the center for TV with bookshelves underneath for books, videos and activities for grandkids.

Return of the Flamingos

We had fun trading flamingos back and forth in good friends yards when we lived in Fairfield and it was just a hoot! Today we had the return of the flamingos when we returned home from church. Our good friends, Amelia and Bob Fawson gave them to their son to give to our son-in-law Tyler at the CHP Academy so Tyler, Amanda and our grandchildren put them in our yard before church today. We were so surprised and had a good laugh! Thanks for the memories, Amelia and Bob!
